The Dickinson Police Department is notifying the public about the registration of two high-risk sex offenders that have registered with our agency.
Sam Knute Pladson registered an address of 842 Southview Avenue. He is a 31-year-old white male, 5’5” tall, 160 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. Pladson has a 2013 conviction in Washington District Court (NE) for First Degree Sexual Assault.
Eric Michael Poile registered an address at Towneplace Suites 240 29th Street West. He is a 35-year-old white male, 5’6” tall, 205 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. Poile has 2006 convictions in Hughes District Court (SD) for Third Degree Statutory Rape and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Neither Pladson nor Poile is being sought by law enforcement and this notification is simply for community notification as outlined in North Dakota Century Code 12.1-32-15(14). Sharing of this information is believed to make our communities safer places to live and is an activity that is encouraged. Taking any kind of illegal action against the offender is prohibited by law and may lead to charges against anyone taking such action.
